General muscular tension and postural imbalances
About your practitioner
I’m Sarah Bowler, a naturopathic doctor in practice since 2010 and a certified Bowen therapist through the Bowen Association of Canada. I trained under Denise Onslow in Kitchener-Waterloo.
I offer Bowen because it’s gentle and comfortable to receive, and because it fits well alongside my naturopathic work. I find it especially useful as part of care for people looking for support with pain and with calming a stressed nervous system.

Your first visit starts with a short conversation about your health and what’s bothering you.
You’ll lie on a padded treatment table, under a light sheet. You can be fully clothed in light, comfortable clothing or have removed some garments. If lying down isn’t comfortable, we can work with you seated.
Bowen uses small, gentle movements over muscles and soft tissue, with short pauses in between to let your body settle. There’s no cracking, forceful pressure or oils. Many people find it relaxing.
Sessions last about 45-60 minutes. Afterward, it’s a good idea to drink some water and take it easy for the rest of the day. Most people come once a week to start, and we’ll talk about what makes sense for you.
